CIRCUIT MEETING ‘HEADLINES’ 3rd June 2015

The Circuit Welcome Service for Rev Leo Osborn will be on Sunday 6th September at 6pm at Oakham Methodist Church.

Welcoming a new minister is always a great occasion, and hopefully as many people as possible will attend.

It promises to be a good occasion when the Chair of District will be the preacher and we will recognise and pray for new ministry initiatives in the circuit.

Leo and Charlotte will be moving to the manse during the summer.  Leo will be working three weeks out of every four in the circuit for two years.  Leo currently chairs the Connexional Ministries Committee, a role which will continue during his first year in with Circuit.

URGENT NEED: Circuit Treasurer

Our circuit treasurer, Sarah, has been wishing to step down from the role for many months now due to increasing responsibilities at work and professional studies.  We have so far been unable to find someone to take on the role despite a number of enquiries and advertisements in the local churches.

The situation is now urgent.  Please consider prayerfully and carefully whether you feel able to have a conversation about the role and what is involved and speak to Andy or Sarah about it.  It is hoped to have a new treasurer appointed for September at which time Sarah’s resignation will have taken effect.

"The Connexion"

New Methodist Church magazine

The Methodist Church are publishing a new magazine "The Connexion", and for the next issue they are asking for stories about use of "The Arts" in Mission.  The crucial part of the theme is "in mission" because they want to highlight where the creative energy within churches and circuits is winning people for Christ; whether through fine art, music, drama or something else.  Revd. Andy Fyall will forward any contributions.
