URGENT NEED: Circuit Treasurer

Our circuit treasurer, Sarah, has been wishing to step down from the role for many months now due to increasing responsibilities at work and professional studies.  We have so far been unable to find someone to take on the role despite a number of enquiries and advertisements in the local churches.

The situation is now urgent.  Please consider prayerfully and carefully whether you feel able to have a conversation about the role and what is involved and speak to Andy or Sarah about it.  It is hoped to have a new treasurer appointed for September at which time Sarah’s resignation will have taken effect.

The Circuit Leadership Team are delighted to report that the Rev Leo Osborn has accepted the invitation to join the Circuit Ministry Team from September 2015.  He will be moving to the manse with his wife, Charlotte. during the summer.  Leo will be working three weeks out of every four in the circuit for two years, as agreed by the Invitations Committee.  Leo is currently the Chair of the Newcastle Methodist District and the also chairs the Connexional Ministries Committee, a role which will continue during his first year with us.  We very much look forward to welcoming them among us.  Please remember them in your prayers as they prepare to leave the familiarity of Newcastle after 14 years to come to our circuit.

"The Connexion"

New Methodist Church magazine

The Methodist Church are publishing a new magazine "The Connexion", and for the next issue they are asking for stories about use of "The Arts" in Mission.  The crucial part of the theme is "in mission" because they want to highlight where the creative energy within churches and circuits is winning people for Christ; whether through fine art, music, drama or something else.  Revd.
