Revd. Andy Fyall

Superintendent Minister

Revd. Leo Osborn

After 13 years job sharing ministry with my wife Helen, I was appointed as Superintendent Minister for the Stamford & Rutland Circuit in 2009.

My ministry comprises mission, pastoral care and outreach with the churches of the circuit.

I am keen to help people find a living faith and grow in their discipleship of Christ.

Preaching, leading Bible studies worship forms a major part of my ministry.

I am delighted to be part of an outward looking circuit for whom mission is vitally important.

I enjoy time with the family, and relax by singing in a local chamber choir (St Peters Singers, Peterborough).

Thank you for visiting our circuit website.  I hope you will also visit the circuit!

I was born in Birmingham and have been a Methodist Minister for forty years, serving in Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire, Lancashire, Cheshire and Northumberland and latterly as Chair of the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne District for the past fourteen years.

I was also President of The Methodist Conference from 2011-12 and am an Ecumenical Canon of Newcastle Cathedral.

At present I chair the Ministries Committee of The Methodist Church and with Charlotte I am Chaplain to the Connexional Team. So whilst in theory I only work time, in practice I suspect that may not turn out to be the case!

When not doing other things, I love walking, listening to classical music and keeping a fearful eye on events at Aston Villa and Warwickshire County Cricket Club.

Revd. Helen Fyall

Circuit Children's Worker

Philip Jones

Circuit Mission Enabler

Rev. Helen Fyall works 10 hours per week for the circuit as a Children and Family Worker.

This involves creating and sustaining links with toddler groups in the villages and towns around the circuit, running activity days and holiday clubs, leading school assemblies and school clubs, helping with Junior Church and Girl’s Brigade/Boys Club, leading Tea Time Church services for young families and pastoral visiting.

Helen is also the Lead Chaplain for Peterborough City Hospital and Stamford Foundation Trust and works 26 hours per week in that role.

I live in Deeping St James and I’m married to Debs with 2 children – Abby (21) now at Nottingham Uni and Nathan (19) just “freed” from school and furthering his tennis coaching career

I am a trained counsellor and worked with the homeless in Wisbech.  I have been a local preacher since aged 17 and worn many “pastoral” hats in the past.  I worked at the Methodist Publishing House for 10 years, released for good behaviour.  I have a particular interest in ministry to bereaved families and often lead funeral services

I like walking, good movies, relaxing with the family to watch “Endeavour” or “Fringe” and listen to my favourite music – which includes Jamie Cullum, Lalo Schifrin and the Christian band Caedmon’s Call.

Rowan Scholtz

I am the Youth Outreach Worker for Stamford Methodist Church and I have been in position now for 3 years.  My role is to outreach to the young people of the community, building up relationships and encouraging them.

Legacy Youth Club runs each week for young people of secondary school age and above,  Wednesdays starting at 7:00pm and finishing at 9:00pm.

I run a weekly lunchtime club and elective at Casterton Business & Enterprise College and a weekly lunchtime club at Stamford Welland Academy.

My role also involves working with the current young people of the church and encouraging them to outreach to their friends.

I live in Empingham with my husband Andrzej and two young children Rosalind and Alex.

We have lived here for 9 years now following a move from Harbury in Warwickshire.

I Studied Jewellery, Silversmithing and Jewellery design at a University in Kent and still have a huge interest in anything creative and arty! Since university i have worked in design/administrative roles in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, and also taken on many commissions privately.

Since moving to Empingham i have worked as a Planning/Office Manager for a local food supplier.

I work 10 hrs a week for the Circuit and can normally be found in the Circuit office on a Tuesday. I also work occasionally for Tumble Tots and I am the Clerk and Responsible Officer for Empingham Parish Council.
